The launch of trailer of dhadak took place today. Karan johar introduced Janhavi Kapoor and Ishaan khattar , to the media and also unveiled the trailer of Dhadak . Karan Johar said that Dhadak is adopted from Marathi film Sairaat which was a gaint hit. He said that two hit songs of Sairaat zingat and yedlagla have been translated into Hindi and the composition is same and Music Director too and other 2 songs are original composition.
Janhavi Kapoor speaking at the launch said that she is very nervous as well as very happy with the trailer launch. On asking about Missing her mom on the occasion , Janhavi said that she had seen Sairaat with her mom at home and she wished if she can debut with such a movie. And Sridevi too wanted her daughter to debut with such a role. And Karan Johar decided to produce Hindi version of Sairaat. She and Khushi did get emotional about Their mom not been there at the launch.
When she was asked what tips have Sridevi given her , she said that her tip to word hard and honestly she will always remember
When Janhavi was asked whether if her character is similar to what Rinku Rajguru played in Sairat, Janhvi gave a very humble response. “I don’t think any other actor can come near what Rinku did with her character of Archie in Sairat. My character, Parthavi, is very different from Archie and I have simply tried to play my character honestly,” she said
The trailer looks promising with fresh pairing of janhvi and Ishaan .
The film will release on 20th July
