Overview : A Return To Romance In Mid Life
Story Line : The story is set in Holy City of Varanasi , Yashwant Batra (Sanjay Mishra) , is Post Office Employee who is a middle age person , who has shared his 24 years of life and home wih his very adjustable wife Kiran (Ekavali Khanna) , They have a college going daughter Preeti (Shivani Raghuvanshi), who is secretely in love with Jugnu(Anshuman Jha) who stays nearby .
Mr Batra like any ordinary Indian Couple lives his life in a very contempary manner , his attitude is that he is earning and his wife looks after home , he is fulfilling all his duties according to him this is what life and wife is all about , minus any love and affection for his wife . His wife Kiran is very accomodating but inside she is unhappy with her life . Their Marriage life stumbles when Mr Batra announces that he has fixed his daughter preeti’s marriage with hid friends son , Kiran tries to reason her husband that he should ask preeeti first if she is ready for this aliance but Mr Batra is too adamant , Preeti rebels and tells him that she has already married Jugnu and that she is not ready to live a suffocating life like her mother , Batra is very agry and blames Kiran for all this , their marriage stumbles and Kiran decides to leave him post preeti’s marriage .
After Preeti gets married , Kiran leaves Mr Batra and lives with her mother and brother who decides to take her to Singapore . on the other hand Mr Batra is left all alone , a few incidents makes him realise the importance of wife in ones life but his ego and attitude ditters him from bringing kiran back , beneath his rough exterior there is a soft corner for his wife and do love her but he is unable to express it . His Daughter and son in law all tries to help him to be romantic and display his affection , but they are unable to succeed .
Kiran goes to Singapore , what happens next will Batra be able to get his wife is for the audience to watch
Script Analysis And Director Review : The Scipt is good but lacks at some times , the director has tried to break the notion that we can see in middle class couples who are living a loveless life and common life , but it is hardly breaks ice , though Varanasi ghats are shot bueatifully
Performances : Sanjay Mishra is a great actor but he is misfit in this role , though this role does not suit him , there is no chemistry with Ekavali at all. Brajessh Kala as Preeti;s fathar in law is very funny at times
Ekavalli on the other hand has done a fantastic job of fplaying a simple house wife , her cotton sarees are main attraction as it suits her a lot
Shivani has also done a good job as preeti , her chemistry with anshuman is good .
Final Word : A once watch
